Sword, Division and Not Peace: Islam

It is delightful knowing that your conviction includes the acknowledgment of the Christ. In Qur’an, one could read your expression of empathy to a point of aggressive countenance, for the sacrifices and agony Christ went through in life.  I felt a strong hint of Christ being revered, and that there exist a spiritual convergence, since I read it myself from the Holy Koran.  It is like being informed first hand with hard evidence that my Lord as a Christian is also your Lord and prophet.  Since we touch the word lord, as we go along this book, we would unravel more of why Christ is documented to be the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.Cascading theories and theologies that would support the title Christ occupy exclusively.

From me to the Islam faith: Thanks for acknowledging Jesus as the Son of God http://quran.com/search?q=jesus+christ. (Surat 3:45).

The word Islam has a number of serendipitous meanings.  One time I read that it means “complete obedience” and in another occasion when I was watching news on television, it says “peace.”  Like any other codes of conduct for living, may it be convictions of the heart, societal laws that are in force, people are driven to behave in the exposure we were taught and passed down by forefathers of the land.  It is common sense that we have a mind-set influenced by our experiences, background, education, and society.  And Moslems are no exception to that rule of science, and any given people in any society for that matter.  Levels of education and experiences even comprise the genes our forefathers transmit to us.  It is so potent that education and experience even shape the structure of our present system of church and government.  One thing though for sure is that, human’s natural tendency is to develop its ways for a better and a more conducive environment to live in.

Complete obedience and peace are wonderful virtues, more so, in the realm of spirituality.  The question though lies, in whether that truth is teeming with that inviolable sense of man to be safe and sound?  Holy war or “wart” which the latter festers the body with constant itchiness?  (I just happened to accidentally hit the “T” key on the keyboard after typing the word war, on Holy war and its just funny it turned out “wart“, and I figured I could use it as a metaphor!)

I’ve been probing this contradiction for some time now, and that one can never equate infliction of pain, suffering, and death, and oppression with holiness.  It is heartless, cruel, unmerciful, and even stupid!  You have in your Holy Scripture where anyone can read written profusely, “In the name of Allah, the merciful, beneficient.” Your God and my God is suppose to be what the Koran pronounces.  Is therefore your God-the God who lives within your souls, hearts, and minds unmerciful and non-benevolent?

Where shall this scathing viciousness be arrested?  Same question goes with the Jews who never gave a chance to share the land with those who once also inhabited it.  You are both guilty of breaking the law, as Moses among with the Judges were likewise guilty of breaking.

As much as the east wind-the middle eastern countries: Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Saudi Arabia have been molding the shape of spirituality of the entire global hemisphere, also should the pioneering descendants of those who consider themselves of Abraham, must come to peace and obedience, that would absolutely teem up with such innate virtues of understanding, goodwill, and love for one another--and not a long standing oppression, violence, and hatred.

Your Islam faith and your people adhere to the same teachings of the Old Testament indoctrinated by the prophet Muhammad who was born on 610 CE http://niv.scripturetext.com/genesis/16.htm.    The descendant of Ishmael-an offspring of Abram with Hagar who is an Egyptian maidservant of Sarai.  Even in the onset of his life, Ishmael’s vested blessing and reputation was to be against anyone, and shall live in hostility among his brothers.  This is attributable to the fact that Ishmael was borne of a decision of Sarai, a woman, who later regretted her will to give a family to her husband, using her maidservant (Hagar), in order to please him.  Terrible scenarios and misfits occurred in Sarai’s desire to please Abram.

Hagar felt miserable by the situation in being just the second wife of Abram while being pregnant at that.  This caused her to feel aloof with Sarai who is the legitimate wife.  Hagar may have had difficulty in submitting to Sarai because she knows Sarai is getting jealous of her in being able to conceive for Abram a child.  It is like being with the boss (Sarai) and delivering everything for her happiness but signs of bitterness from jealousy is returned.  On the other hand, Hagar too have felt jealous of Sarai knowing that she is really the wife of Abram. The discontentment and jealous countenance overriding the two women caused Sarai to send her away, and Hagar, to flee from her in misery http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ishmael#Birth_of_Ishmael.

Here is a story in history that is so powerful and potent in many fronts.  We can trace the behavior pattern of Ishmael’s descendants corollary to the imperfection of the world as history unfolded all these years http://niv.scripturetext.com/genesis/16.htm.  They have come into first hand contact, with whom men agree to call the father of all nations-Abraham.  Then again, this is a courageous, yet sad fact that men has to face in life, in trying to bridle and learn from harrowing situations just to attain contentment, and in this case, in pursuit of the other person’s happiness (like with what Sarai intended to give Abram a child).

Muhammad himself upholds peace and prosperity.  With the dubbed reputation you have been given which you are known to practice heavily-being against anyone and be in the midst of hostilities among your brother-let me ask you something-do you think your reputation, and what you practice persist in absolute holiness.  Do you think men could achieve being with God when hostility lingers?  You see, the words, everlasting life or life everlasting, has the word, “life” in them.  Do we read it as life everlasting, or “dead everlasting.”  King David once said in His Psalm, “how can I worship You when I am dead, buried under the ground.”

One of my major theories is that there is no life after death.  The reason for this is because, one can not feed on the fact that there is an "imagined heaven" where you can enter, even when one has killed indiscriminately, in the name of "Allah."   The union we would have with God, the heavenly hosts, the saints, and prophets is when His kingdom comes on earth.  Topics of which we will discuss as the book unfolds.  The life after death is the life that the dead leaves behind to the living.  Again, the life after dying is the life, the dead leaves behind among the living-they would be your sons, daughters, relatives, your church and your nations.   The legacy, the influence, the teachings, the lives touched, loved and cared for, the life shared and molded are what is immortal and everlasting in life-to a life everlasting.  You see, how you lived your life, what the church and government impart in life is what life is all about.   The human race is all that there is as stewards of Allah’s creation.  You may find that in your Holy Koran too.  So, why kill them?  How would you feel when I tell you or any Islamic Nation that you must die because you have caused people to commit crimes?

We already have so much in our hands-so much knowledge of space and time.  People everyday live a life of misery and pain either through oppression of war and shrewdness in the market place.  Killing is not always good and wise a policy, especially if we talk of winning people of diverse convictions and persuasions other than yours. Any form of government and religious structure or belief should know it!  You can only cull your own and learn the love you share to be able to expand the love you have to others.

The Israelis and your Palestinian brothers have been destroying each other for the longest time but it just seem to fail all the time.  To think that both acknowledge the same God as we all do!  Again, commonality in mind, heart, and spirit is the key.  And as we move along we shall further unravel how men in the divine intervention of Christ through God’s grace shall bridge the entire gap in completing your redemption from your struggle--only through our Jesus Christ.  The accounts you have with Mohammad is long after Christ shared His life.  Muhammad is from a lineage of such bitter beginnings that influenced the Islamic behavior pattern of thought and sentiments. Your Koran is beautiful yet vengeful even with the advocacy of Muhammad of submission and peace.  One would immediately notice how it is extremely influenced by the bitter past of your beginnings.  Though I must admit that your firm conviction of righteousness and holiness is as unwavering as the waves of the sea--and even death could not waver and compromise your beliefs.

Word to the Wise:  There is more than that of acknowledgment and honoring the love we have for Christ.  It is by living it.  As stringent the laws you sustain and maintain, also is the hostility you are known to possess.  You may have enjoyed the fruits of such stern necessity as man may be really wicked.  But it is of our utmost care to take and make them better.  What is there to hold and hone if we constantly kill?  Can you blame the desperate and impoverish to seek life and satisfaction even to the extent of committing crimes. Have we exhausted enough our strength in mind and spirit, to represent them in government as holy and acceptable as we should be?  Or is what we offer short, that living is an option and not a privilege, or not a right anymore, within which becoming a criminal, always has a convenient way out, which is death.  Every individual would not like to become criminals or abusive or greedy, but sometimes they'd rather be, just so to survive.  At least they’ve helped themselves live.  Again, have we loved them enough for them not to become criminals or offenders, or enemies?  What did we do-what have you done to have made pathetic lives or nations better?

Your Strength:        Upholding of the Law.
Your Weakness:    Too much aggression in upholding the Law to a point of sinning against the Law.
