Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (S. W. O. T.):
I have gone across the “seven capital sins” from a major religion-the Catholicism. Identified sins, namely: pride, covetousness, lust, anger, gluttony, envy, sloth are known to be detrimental to both personal and societal atmospheres. I was so glad to have gone across with these set of recognized vices, as they are already determined to be the common cause of men’s suffering.
We would discuss pervading effects of the identified sins in relation to contemporary system of governance of church and government, which, if not rectified, men’s disposal to suffering shall remain constant. It highlights positive points as well as negative repercussions should vital propositions are ignored. Take note, that all of the following topics are based on the premise that all people and nations were already in spiritual accord--having been able to absorb and rectify each religions’ shortcomings and as a consequence, all are already adhering to certain laws in the holy scriptures, as a common ground in piety (adherence to the laws on food, idolatry, and death/killing).
Strength in Industry:
As soon as a common understanding, mutual spiritual ties and accord among peoples and nations are enjoyed, far greater global industrial ties, would set in without a doubt. Let us take as an example a given church congregation. In unity in spirit they are able to craft whatever they conceive for the common good. Though diversity in religion would always be present in how we practice our own respective religions, the common faith in monotheism shall remain constant. Given the fact that what this book offers would certainly collect man, as one in the human race, under one God-all as children of God. Imagine all industries and businesses operating under the cause of each person’s needs and wants and not just for money of personal survival, comfort and luxury. When every product and service provided for, would mean satisfaction for not only to those who can afford them, but also to all the people who need and want them. Thereby, growth in volume of business to manpower requirements would be inevitable which translates to employment and productivity of both businesses and mankind.
You see, what the laymen or other people who have tried to translate the “end of days” in the holy scriptures have forgotten about is the goodness and faithfulness of God/Allah/Yahweh/Jehovah to men. When they only dwell on devastation of the earth, odd dictatorship of men-by men, and the like. You see, there is a very thin line between unity among people and the dreaded unity of people in crookedness.
Yes, in this age, we have dictatorships left and right, but are ousted sooner or later. Yes, we have fire coming down from heaven consuming men from machine guns of Air force and Marine/Naval aircrafts. Yes, we experience dreadful calamities both of nature and by men. But the end of days and unity we talk of here, are likewise inspired by the words of God, but with all of His splendor and grace. This is the difference of my book. God’s mighty grace is what I claim for all of the inhabitants of the earth and for all the businesses they do. Especially, in the advent of SORT, all the more men would feel the grace of God in spirit and in truth.
Strength and Opportunities in Psychological Needs and in Manpower:
I would like you to recall the earlier Chapter III where we have discussed practices of religions and what must be of common adherence; what each major religion ought to know and adjust or modify. Let me compound it calling them, “Lawful Scepters” In this way, it would be easy for me to impart its relevance in our succeeding topics. Just imagine that time, when reality meets what science identifies that have Biblical proportions. Contributing absolute positive realm of living.
Psychological attributes of humans are enjoyed at an optimal level and does not only stop in acquiring basic needs, but also the importance of belongingness and security in everything we hold dear and sacred-our faith in God. Here, comes the part where the “Lawful Scepters” affect peoples’ lives. Not only men would feel secure of being involved with one another, but as well as directly being concerned and responsible to the other person-as all men are under what the Lawful Scepter wishes to accomplish. Being able to relate with one another no matter how far our proximity from each other, or how different we all look in appearance. Being able to be a part of a common knowledge and practice which each and every one upholds. This shall make everyone equal in the sight of everybody and at the same time holy, in the “sight” of God/Allah/Yahweh/Jehovah.
In other words, in one spirit, though diverse in our practices, there hold all men equal. Making growth happen. The feeling of being involved and accepted enjoyed. Just merely by living shall bring about positive outcome in life-from the least, to the most activity of interaction among people. SORT would let all people experience what it is like to be in one human race. With our respective governments as our father, and respective churches as our mother, and all the rest of the people, government and church combined, shall be our family members--a brotherhood of nations.
Weakness and Threats in Psychological Needs and in Manpower if Proposals are Ignored Stemming Toward Livelihood and Industry:
Peoples’ decisions as we said reflect the order, peace, and harmony in our lands. Men alone are vested with an integral part in shaping the world, and defining the course of life-not any animal nor plants, but human beings. We govern and could explore all living creatures which other living creatures can not do with the way we do to them. In other words, we are in charge of all God’s creation-our environment. This fact is absolute since time immemorial. Early science, even as knowledge grew and continue to advance, it has grown in supporting what the holy scriptures say, that men are most supreme in comparison to the rest of the living species. Once this fact is distorted in whatever way or means, there would be outright imbalance to the person concerned as well as to all environs. And what we have identified as the culprit, (spiritual discord and money) surely have a far and wide vicious repercussion-and below are the reasons why:
1. Pride: When you do not accept your shortcomings and consider necessary steps for change. Pride is when a person thinks and feels that the only correct way are his/her ways. If there is no basis of what is “good and livable”, then what we have, is our planet’s current situation where the only thing to expect, is economic predation, societal apathy, cultural partiality, and of course, the root of them all-religious/spiritual conflict.
2. Covetousness: The most common scenarios of materialism, is no doubt a prevalent vicious timeless classic tragedy. We covet for real reasons that what others have seem to be proper for us as well. Aren’t we all human beings with the same needs and wants as others do? Well, because of the limiting power of monetary system, people not only covet for what they can truly acquire, but also covet money itself, for money is the current means of acquisition. Covetousness is predicated by the limiting qualities of money which curtail men of obtaining even the very basic needs and wants-from infancy to adulthood and even up to burial-men worry on what they ought to have had, and could have in life for mere comfort and satisfaction, which, to begin with are produced or served in the market, in the first place.
3. Lust: Sexual in nature, illicit as it may seem, but a kind of sin that has pervaded since the beginning of time. Why, because the end result of lust has and always suggests immediate gratification of self-satisfaction through sexual activities leading to orgasmic experience. Lust, as it has been termed is evident in situations where sexual act is considered unacceptable on both parties involved. Immorality is one way to define lust as it is denounced by a set norm of conduct. It does not pick anybody but everybody. Powerful political figures-presidents, church officials, to low life raving sex maniacs. May it be in the dirty streets or elegant stateroom offices, sexual misconduct or lust no doubt lingers in the air, even as we speak. No matter where you are, who you are, where you are from, one would be familiar with these embarrassing misfits and scandals.
An outlet of the psyche that we deserve satisfaction-something "more" satisfying to accomplish than what our present situation reached. Let’s take a president whose political and economic prowess I admire: President Bill Clinton, of the United States. As an example of the scandal he had with Monica Lewinski, his disposal of power could only do so much to satisfy his office which he has taken an ought to uphold. There is something inside his heart that with all the intelligence, power, set laws and procedures and mandates, they just could not fully address satisfaction in terms of what his office entail him to do. As a result, like any other person, he results to sexual gratification, as it is the most immediate self-fulfilling satisfaction on the face of the earth.
And living a life of both a man and a man with vested responsibilities to the governed, self-satisfaction has been the easy way out to claim victory over disappointments or to tarnished reality, by indulging in sexual activities. Like King Solomon, though how great and vast his kingdom, still he has had countless wives and concubines, and still searching for that perfect woman (Proverbs 31:10-31). http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs+31%3A10-31&version=KJV
Let me share with you a Filipino folklore about the first man and woman. The male was called Malakas and female, Maganda (Strong and Beautiful). A long time ago a strong thunder struck lightning on a bamboo tree where they were known to have come from. And as lightning struck that one bamboo pole, it split in half and opened. The one side of the pole came Malakas and from the other Maganda, where it was said that from one shoot came the first people. People of old, considered man as “strong” and the woman, “beautiful.”
A man and a woman have been always deemed to be together as one. From Abraham to Christ, we would see how the man/husband have been vested with power over the woman. King Solomon in his Proverbs endlessly seek a beautiful woman and to note that his proverbs entailing a lot of vanities under the sun. And his father, King David, who also stumbled over Bathseba-over a woman. An exacting scenario of prohibited sexual desires. Take any high-ranking official, may it be in government or church. Some, as credible as they are, through the years in investing time in royal authority, somehow, somewhere, sexual indulgence and scandals seeped through their incumbency. Not merely because of sexual satisfaction per se, but they try to fill that emptiness inside-and that emptiness is what is being identified by this book.
The earth liken to a woman, unless it is perfect--man would find himself ever wanting and seeking for perfection even to his own blemish and shame. It is sad to say and admit that it almost always boils down to this thing called sexual indulgences and corruption.
The feeling of insecurities happening in a male's life has a long-lasting effect because of an embedded spiritual truth that the male is the head/leader as Christ is the head of the church, just like Abraham is the father of all Nations. God gave His Son Jesus Christ to humanity. God the Father and Christ are one and the same through the Holy Spirit. Thus, these inviolable truths remain and steer the emotional rod of every life of the male population. Whether you subscribe to this idea or not, this is the natural psyche of a male's being. Again, when a male’s life is such a way that he is much overpowered by the female, life would be in shambles. To most people, there is a fine line separating love and lust while for others who are more educated, and knowledgeable on the laws of men and God, conduct prudence in life and could be contrite, like King David with Bathseba. This all happens because of the need for satisfaction that finds its way out one way or the other.
4. Anger: A manifestation of discontent, resentment and annoyance. This is normal because the world is abnormal. It becomes a sin because the current world organization is sinful. Permit me to somehow say that anger is normal, since from the anger Christ showed in the synagogue, http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+2%3A13-16&version=KJV(John2:13-16) capitalized one of my major assessments that brought me further close to His Messianic life. To me, being angry is all right, but not to the extent of violating men's rights and the Holy Spirit of their sovereignty.
5. Gluttony: My definition: overweight; overeating; a scapegoat to a particular or several insecurities; a suspended feeling of deprivation or scarcity early on in life which lingers on in a person’s present situation. Study shows that people who are overweight and obese most belong to the unsuccessful life bracket. And inversely, people who are rich or whose lives are more convenient have a balance height to weight ratio. We have heard in the Holy Scriptures the word fasting as well as the passage, “man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” The reason why I mentioned this is because, liken to the challenge of the holy seat over the ancient of times, this too, poses similar challenge to spirituality but on a physiological and physical level.
Earlier, I proposed an entire educational system, all across the globe rooted in the principles of our respective religions in localities, thereby fulfilling the clause of “living by the word of God and not by bread alone.” I believe that spiritual guidance does not stop from infancy to childhood. As government and churches you should be every parents’ advocate of a life safe and secure, and holy http://bible.cc/deuteronomy/4-9.htm (Deuteronomy 4:9, http://bible.cc/deuteronomy/6-7.htm (Deuteronomy 6:7), http://bible.cc/proverbs/22-6.htm (Proverbs 22:6), http://niv.scripturetext.com/1_john/3-1.htm (1John 3:1-3)
Let’s face it, private schools administered by religious orders are highly respectable, prestigious, but “unfortunately” exorbitantly priced. You see, you started “bad luck,” so to speak, since education is the only avenue for a most possible successful life. You would see in the Holy Scriptures verses like, “teach your children the way they should go, so when they grow up, they will not falter,” and “do not spare your rod to your child....” Again, here, we are talking not of two matters but three, “teach” and “children” and “discipline (rod-growth, remember?)” We are taught from the onset of life itself, and onto the extension of teaching derived through the educational system. Not because I personally graduated high school in a Dominican Order and studied college in a Benedictine Order of schools but because I know that family is as sacred as what the extension of it should be--- a school based on religion or spirituality.
Just to remind you, of the fact that, SORT in general, its commencement would be after all churches have come as one-united in the Holy Spirit.
Good education rooted and founded by people whose roots are the “Words” of God would translate to discipline in the heart and mind. Come good education come rich and productive lifestyle.
6. Envy: It is wanting more of what others have which an individual is not capable of acquiring or what an individual does not have. But wait a second. Should I still have to say again, that we are the only creatures who were given everything God created and are vested with authority of all God’s creation? This sin is the product of money, as well as all other sins known to men. Envy of others happen when a person is not happy or content with what he/she has. In the advent and practice of SORT all that there is to care for is the time person spends in enriching the lives of others, him/herself and time in recreation. Why, because everything in life is provided for. Now, once happiness is attained and sustained, you just have to place envy in oblivion. Of course, there shall be always protocol, leadership, and ranks and files. But with a well trimmed set up of streamlined opportunities and access to livelihood, coupled with recreation that is likewise very much accessible, people shall remain grateful and satisfied. Guaranteed.
7. Sloth: To this age, men have not fully seen the maximum practice and optimal level of institutions that govern them. I know that to most, they rather just pass the time, by not doing anything at all, than do their best, then, yet, face another frustration and disappointment in life, struggling. Especially evident in the United States, and in Great Britain. A considerable amount of the population being under government assistance for the same reason that I deduced. Not to mention, detrimental factors influencing slothfulness such as lack of know-how, or sexually abused or heavily battered or drug-fried brain individuals who are traumatized and therefore mentally and physically incapacitated. Third world countries on the other hand, just do not have enough in their hands to work with.
